When Shah Rukh Khan Got “Angry” On Kapil Sharma’s Show Over A Mimicry Act: “Don’t You Have Any Manners At All?”
Everyone is excited for Kapil Sharma’s upcoming show on Netflix. From a TV screen to a streaming platform, the comedian has come a long way in his career. Kapil entertained millions of Indians with Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show earlier. His shows were graced by many big celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan and many others.
In 2014, Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan and Abhishek Bachchan went on Comedy Nights With Kapil to promote their film, Happy New Year. Comedians Chandan Prabhakar and Rajiv Thakur arrive on their sets to do their set, acting as detectives. Both the comedians tell Shah Rukh they’re a big fan of him. They say to the superstar that they’ve mimicked him quite often.
Rajiv takes centre stage and starts mimicking Shah Rukh Khan with his monologue from Deewana. Chandan jokes that he even went to a craftsman once to get a face like SRK. He mimics SRK’s scene as Raj from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’s climax sequence. Shah Rukh asks them if they mimic only him or others. The Jawan actor tells them that sometimes, the actor feels terrible when someone mimics them, as it’s not always accurate. Sometimes, comedians exaggerate their style of talking. Even Abhishek Bachchan and Farah Khan express their displeasure over Chandan and Rajiv’s mimicry act.

Further, the Dunki actor loses his cools and tells them that if you think an actor will get happy seeing all of this, that’s not always true. SRK asks them when did he talk in this manner – ‘Hey k k k kiran’? He tells Kapil that he came to his show because he loves him, but they’re making fun of him. SRK even questions them for pranking Amitabh Bachchan in one of the episodes. Shah Rukh questions Chandan and Rajiv about what kind of fans they are if they’re making fun of him on National TV!

Chandan and Rajiv go utterly silent as SRK expresses frustration over their mimicry act. The superstar gets angrier, stands up and says, “Hum log show par aate hai, khush hone ke liye aate hai. Tumko tameez nahi hai bilkul? Mistry banoge, cement daaloge muh ke andar, meri tarah lagoge tum?” Kapil tries to calm SRK, and then SRK says to him, “Itna gussa aa raha hai, tumne mujhe bola tha woh line bolna hai mujhko.” (“We come to the show to be happy. Don’t you have any manners at all? Will you become a craftsman, put cement inside your mouth, and look like me?)
The superstar walks towards Rajiv and Chandan and says his famous Om Shanti Om dialogue, “Do chutki sindoor ki kimat tum kya jano Ramesh Babu”. He hugs the duo. Suddenly, the tension from the sets disappears, and everyone starts laughing. It was a whole prank planned by Kapil and SRK to stress out both the comedians. Even as a viewer, you feel like Khan is furious at both the performers. It was indeed one of the most memorable moments from Kapil’s show.
Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma’s new show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, will drop its first episode on March 30 on Netflix. The series features Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharma, Rajiv Thakur, Krushna Abhishek, and Archana Puran Singh.
