Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan is one celebrity chat show fans eagerly await, mainly for the shocking and controversial statement stars make on it. As Koffee With Karan Season 8 premieres tomorrow, October 26, with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as its guests, fans are wondering if Shah Rukh Khan will make it to the controversial couch.

For those who don’t remember, the ’ Jawan’ actor and Kajol were the first celebrity guests on Karan’s KWK when it premiered on November 19, 2004. Since then, SRK has appeared in several episodes across seasons. This includes S1E8 with Gauri Khan, Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan, S1E25 with Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Farhan Akhtar, Farah Khan, Kajol, and Jaya Bachchan, S2E1 with Kajol and Rani Mukerji, S2 E24 with Farah Khan and Deepika Padukone, solo in S3E9, and S5E1 with Alia Bhatt.

Onto the latest, while interacting with the audience at the Pinkvilla Masterclass, Karan Johar confirmed Shah Rukh Khan won’t be a guest on the new season of Koffee With Karan. Revealing why the ‘Pathaan’ star will be giving Koffee With Karan 8 a miss, KJo said, “With all due respect, he is there but I don’t think he wants to be in the forefront and speak. I think he deserves his silence. As fans and filmmakers, we should give him that.”

Till now, Shah Rukh Khan has not appeared in three seasons – Season 4, Season 6, and Season 7. His absence from the controversial Koffee With Karan Season 8 couch is his third consecutive miss and fourth overall.

In the same conversation, Karan Johar also revealed that he is keen on directing a Shah Rukh-Kajol film again. Karan, who has directed Khan in movies such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, My Name Is Khan, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, revealed is hoping to team up with King Khan on a feature film soon. The duo – who share a fond friendship have also collaborated on films such as Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kaal, Dear Zindagi, and Ittefaq.
